Color Me Green

Thousands of runners, Lake Michigan to the left, and rainbow colored powder EVERYWHERE. Two summers ago, I ran in the Chicago Color Run with a group of friends, and it was the craziest, most exciting run I have ever participated in. Color runs are not timed and you don’t get some big prize for winning. Color runs are just for fun, and that is the best part.

Now, 4-H is sponsoring a color run, Color Me Green, as part of the national 4-H healthy living initiative. Starting in March, Indiana 4-H members will run through green powder to support their programs and local food pantries. Keeping the 4-H theme, this run will only be using green biodegradable colored powder.

To be a part of Color Me Green, you don’t need to be a marathon runner. You can run, walk, jog or even skip if you feel compelled to do so! So grab a group of friends, support 4-H, and get covered in green powder at any of these locations:

  • Blackford County on April 5
  • Dubois County on March 33
  • Floyd County on April 26
  • Gibson County on March 22
  • Greene County on March 8
  • Jackson County on March 16
  • Johnson County on March 13
  • Posey County on March 8
  • Shelby County on April 19
  • Vanderburgh County on March 1
  • Vigo County on March 3
  • Wabash County on March 29
  • Warren County on March 17
  • Warrick County on March 15
